Mimeya represents the vanguard of web and custom applications. Mimeya's managers and lead technologists are all formally trained with at least a 4-year degree in the field of Computer Science. We develop custom software for a wide range of clients. With the latest technologies in hand, we innovate solutions to best address the needs of your organization. Headquartered in the metro-Philadelphia area, Mimeya serves companies across the US and abroad.
With 10 years of technology operations experience, I am expert in Network and Systems Architecture, designing and maintaining network systems handling millions of visitors per month. Prior to joining Mimeya, I worked at Sivoo Inc., as Director of Technology Operations and also as Network Architect at Traffic.com, where I was responsible for the ongoing operation of both the network architecture and corporate computing infrastructure. Before that, I worked for The Vanguard Group supporting real-time financial systems used by both the Bond and Equity trading groups.
My broad set of skills includes network hardware, telecommunication systems, systems architecture and design, operating systems, security, and software and hardware integration. In addition to my hands-on technical experience, I have exceptional project management and communication skills and excel at translating business needs into technical solutions.
I have a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from The College of New Jersey (formerly Trenton State), located in Ewing, NJ.
When I'm not preparing a proposal or configuring a firewall, I compete in local indoor and outdoor soccer leagues.
After having worked with Eric Pancoast and Bill Fenstermaker at Sivoo Inc., the idea of joining forces with them to found Mimeya in 2007 was a "no-brainer": I had abundant contacts and consulting projects, and they were developing and networking gurus. At Mimeya, I am a principal of the company and software engineer.
Prior to Mimeya, in 2001, I had a "quarter-life crisis" and switched careers from the medical field to Information Technology. During my last semester of graduate school, I was hired to work at Sivoo Inc., the first Internet TV network of multicultural on-demand entertainment programming. At Sivoo, I supported both the Core System Development and Interactive Development teams by writing and implementing code targeting Sivoo's site administration and reporting, content encoding and access control, video server management, content management, and video/meta-data distribution. As a consultant I have worked through the entire Software Development Life Cycle on dozens of open-source and proprietary projects, including e-commerce installation and programming, content management system installation and programming, and website design. In addition to my computer programming skills, I am an efficient and successful project manager and I am particularly good at translating customer needs into engineering solutions.
I have a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the Annenberg School For Communication at the University of Pennsylvania as well as a Master's of Computer and Information Technology from the School of Engineering and Applied Science, also at the University of Pennsylvania.
When I'm not at work, you can find me enjoying time with friends and family, especially when it involves movies, nature, food, and boardgames (or anything competetive they tell me).
Since its inception in 2007, I have served as a principal of the company and software engineer at Mimeya. My two partners and I founded Mimeya Technology Consulting Company to create innovative technology solutions for small and mid-sized organizations. I bring my expertise in computer science to the team.
Prior to Mimeya, I worked at a number of organizations, such as WebLinc LLC, where I created software to solve workflow, content management, and high-demand application problems. At Lockheed Martin from 2001 to 2003, I collaborated with mechanical engineering teams to design and implement a content management system to ship equipment documentation and imagery. From 2003 to 2005, at the University of Pennsylvania, I worked with biologists and linguists to develop a comprehensive set of information extraction and workflow tools to support the research efforts defined by the National Science Foundation grant #EIA-0205448. In my most recent effort at Sivoo Inc., I directed the technology team in creating cutting-edge video content ingestion, management, transcoding, and distribution systems. I also led our team at Sivoo in establishing partnerships with other organizations interested in using or integrating our technology platform.
I have a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Philadelphia's Drexel University.
When I'm not providing extreme technological solutions, I'm getting "extreme" on the snowy peaks of the Rockies.
